Since the early 1970's Michael has played guitar, pedal steel, bottleneck slide, bass, keyboards, dobro, banjo and mandolin, in countless musical ensembles based in cities from San Diego, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Visalia, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Sacramento, Hwy 49 Gold Country to Chico. Geographical History For many years, he taught beginner thru advanced guitar in styles of rock, blues, country, folk, funk, reggae, jazz, fusion and classical. Since the early 80’s he has been a session musician at many reputable studios and also records remotely from his Pro Tools home studio in San Luis Obispo, CA. In recent years, he has performed live around the San Luis Obispo area in Lunar Radio, The Taproots, Red Oak Country, The Willie Goode Band, Jill Knight, David Jones Band, Louie Ortega’s Allstars Band, Louie Ortega’s Sons of the Caballeros, Charlie Baker Band, Cocktail Shorty, Drastic Measures, Mud on the Tire, Willow Glenn, The Twains and Those Windburn Brothers. In concert venues, Michael has opened up for Delbert Mclinton, Shelly West, Pake McEntire (Reba's brother), Gary Morris, Restless Heart, Billy Joe Royal, Dusty Chaps, Papa John Creach, Stoneground, Lovin Spoonful, Roger Creager. He performed with “Emmy Mack and The Trim” at the Live Oak Music Festival in San Marcos Campground / Santa Barbara County, shared the stage with Hoyt Axton in Arroyo Grande, CA, and 2008 performed in the "Patsy Cline Always" show in Sun City, Palm Springs, CA with Cindy Summers and Misty Rowe (film, tv and stage: Hee Haw and Happy Days Misty Rowe website). |
