Owner and supervisor: Mark Fullerton web / Samples : www.gopgs.com • Title: Graphic Artist / Laser Cutter / Screen Printer • Equipment & Software: Graphic design and layout on Mac OS X using Freehand MX, Illustrator CS2, and Photoshop CS2. Use Corel Draw on PC to set up art files (built in Freehand MX and Illustrator CS2) and to drive the Universal Laser Systems Inc. M-300 Laser Cutter. • Graphic Duties: Spot Color Graphic Design for precise screen printing. Working with customer supplied art files and / or a hard copy (to be scanned and used as template), create art from scratch guided by mechanical drawings and / or measuring actual raw parts to be printed on. Setting up files with precise dimensions, placing and laser cut markers, going through entire proofing process while directly working with customer, set-up correct line widths, spot color trapping and separations, e-mailing attached art file to Service Bureau for film output, and QC delivered film. • Laser Cutting Duties: Set up files for cutting, cleaning and maintenance of machine, set-up and cut material. • Type of products I have created artwork for: close tolerance overlays, labels, nameplates, film, signs, decals, panels, membrane switch panels, keypads, directly on metal and plastic chassis of a variety of machines and devices. • Note: I have not had experience building the bottom circuit layers, just the top overlays, but could learn fast. • Note: In order to know what goes on with all screen printing aspects, around 2005 I screen printed and cleaned screens for approximately 20 jobs. |
